Women Composers, created by The Kapralova Society.... An excellent site which includes a database listing perhaps the less acknowledged, but equally talented female composers throughout history. Some of the best loved and timeless compositions we know of today, were actually created by women.

I came across your society and resources and it seems you are doing wonderful work in support of women in music!

Women composers are an often forgotten group in the music world. However, they number in the thousands from around the world, dating as far back as the 11th century. A comprehensive list of women composers can be found at http://www.kapralova.org/DATABASE.htm

Discovering new women composers is like finding hidden treasures. It would take a lifetime to read about all of these amazing women. The Kapralova Society website makes it easy to identify these composers and conductors and learn about their music. There are many of us out there searching for new and historic music.

Often overlooked in online surveys of composers are the hundreds of women who have made a lasting contribution to the world of music. This site, part of the Women in Music project of Ontario's Kapralova Society, helps to fill in the gaps with this impressive list of female composers of both past and present.
Arranged alphabetically by composer's last name, the list offers birth and death dates, where available, as well as nationality. Hypertext links provide access to additional online information when it is available.

She [Edna Frida Pietsch] does appear, if only with her name and dates, in the comprehensive list of women composers run by the Kapralova Society. Their entire Women in Music project looks interesting.
